Massachusetts AI Action Net

For safe and democratic AI.

Take Action

  1. Highlighted Campaign: Tell Rep. Trahan to Oppose State Law Pre-emption.
    • Representative Lori Trahan is working on legislation that would allow federal law to override — or “preempt” — state-level AI regulations
    • This would invalidate the safeguards Massachusetts and other states have fought hard to put in place
    • If this passes, tech companies would face little to no accountability for AI systems that harm children online, discriminate against workers, or deceive families. Federal preemption hands the industry a blank check.
